Pilates is an exercise method founded on core strength and stability that was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. The pilates method consists of various sets of strengthening and stretching exercises which can be performed on a mat or on specialized exercise equipment. Pilates aids in making the body stronger, longer, leaner, and more graceful, while also creating peace of mind.
At MGayle Studio, we use the Pilates Reformer and Cadillac, two specialized pieces of pilates equipment, as well as mat exercises to give you the best pilates workout possible. After just one session, our clients often comment that they feel leaner and stronger!
Yogini Baby Yoga is a new type of yoga program designed specifically for mama and baby. We are currently offering the following Yogini Baby Yoga classes:
Sundays 9:30-10:30am
Yogini Baby Prenatal Yoga is a class designed for expectant mothers. You will build
a strong foundation through strengthening asanas, learn breathing techniques to ease
aches and pains, and connect with your baby through meditation. At Prenatal Yoga, your
body will be prepared and empowered for the precious moment of childbirth.
Sundays 11:00-noon (six weeks to pre-crawling)
Mama and Baby Yoga teaches mothers to build a strong bond with their babies through
yoga asanas, infant massage, and games. For mama, the practice of yoga restores and
strengthens the muscles affected during pregnancy and labor. For baby, it helps to
relieve colic, gas, and any other discomforts. At Mama and Baby Yoga we create an
atmosphere where you and your baby can relax and have fun.
Personal training allows clients to gain strength, cardiovascular fitness, and self-esteem in a supportive one-on-one environment, both indoors and outdoors. Each session is individually tailored to meet your personal needs and goals. Personal training includes but is not limited to weight training, cardiovascular training, balance/stability work, Pilates, and Yoga.
Vinyassa Yoga emphasizes the sequential movement between yoga asanas (poses), coordinated with and guided by breath. The Vinyassa practice becomes a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom, and fluidity in the body and mind. As we learn to ride the waves of breath in our Yoga practice, we learn to ride the waves of change in our lives with more ease. All levels are welcome to join this vigorous practice in finding ones state of flow.
Avoid the traffic and let us come to you! Our in-home training programs are designed to meet individual needs, and are specifically tailored with your personal goals in mind. Choose from a combination of weight training, cardiovascular training, balance/stability work, Pilates, and Yoga. Workouts can be performed indoors or outdoors, weather permitting.
Please keep in mind that our In-Home Training rates are the same as our In-Studio rates plus a $5.00 travel fee per session. In-Home Training sessions that are beyond a two mile radius from the studio are subject to additional travel fees.
